Tasteful “sin” or better tasty weakness. Everybody likes it. Starring in banquet situations … which are set up “in a flash”. Let us not forget that it is called the Chef salad, because the Chef used whatever existed in the refrigerator and could create his own version … When the salad is homemade, from our hands it has another sweetness … and it’s easy. It can be a full summer meal.
If we want to be “modern” we can put our salad in a crystal glass. We give you both versions.
Fresh Chef Salad

Ingredients for 4 people
1 lettuce
2 tomatoes quartered or cut into cubes
1 cucumber cut into cubes
200 gr. smoked ham cut into sticks
200 gr. Gouda cheese cut into cubes
8 boiled eggs cut in four
400 gr. mayonnaise
225 gr. sugar
170 ml apple cider vinegar
150 gr. ketchup
170 ml sunflower oil
1 tsp freshly ground pepper
1 tsp Himalayan salt
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
1 tsp mustard powder
1 tsp sweet paprika powder
1/3 tsp Tabasco
Wash carefully the vegetables and pass after washing the leaves of lettuce with vinegar and rinse.
Cut the lettuce with your hand and put it in a salad bowl or individual bowls – all materials in layers
Among the vegetables, add the ham, cheese and egg pieces, because we hold the rest for decoration.
Place in a blender all the ingredients of the sauce and whisk lightly for a few seconds to homogenize the mixture.
We pour the delicious chef sauce on our salad and decorate with egg and whatever else we imagine …
Small secrets
The sauce is tastier if you prepare it one hour earlier and place it in the fridge to cool.
While the vegetables are eaten when sliced to preserve the vitamins and freshness.
