Ingredients

For the dough:

500 gr self-raising flour

300 gr butter

1 egg

1 vanilla

1 baking powder

 

For the cream:

1 cream package for cheese cake as sold in the super market or 1 envelope vanilla cream (whipped cream type) also from the supermarket

2 cups fresh milk to prepare the cream

1 jar strawberry jam for coating (do not use the whole jar, but as much is needed for a rich layer over the cream)

  1. First prepare the dough. Melt the butter in a bowl and start to whisk adding sugar.
  2. Continue beating, adding the egg, baking powder and vanilla.
  3. We begin to gradually add the flour and then we continue kneading by hand.
  4. After the dough becomes homogeneous, put it in the refrigerator for a half an hour to tighten so that we can open it more easily.
  5. Roll out the dough and place it in our tart plate.
  6. Before we bake we punch consecutive holes with a fork so it will not rise much and has volume.
  7. Bake at 180 oC for 15 to 20 minutes.
  8. Once the tart is prepared we leave it ten minutes to cool and as long as we have prepared our cream, we add it and spread it uniformly to go everywhere.
  9. Then do the same with the strawberry jam.

Place in the refrigerator for at least one hour and then it is ready.

In this recipe if you do not have strawberry jam you can use whatever jam you like. Also you can use honey. The tart flavor with the honey will be very special. Just try it.
