Liqueur Mastiha
Ingredients
1 small bottle of pure alcohol
3 kg sugar
20 gr Mastiha Chios
3 kg water
How to prepare
Pour the alcohol into a jar, add the mastiha and close the lid.
Leave for a night for the mastiha to melt.
The next day in a pan pour 3 kg of water and 3 kg of sugar and boil until the syrup begins to thicken, stirring with a wooden spoon.
Then remove the pot from the fire and let the syrup cool completely.
Once cool pour in the alcohol with the mastiha, mix well and leave one more day until the mixture is homogenous.
The next day, drain, passing our liqueur through a cheesecloth and put into clean glass bottles that we close with a lid.
