Petsas rules out possibility of government reshuffle in the next days
Ο κυβερνητικός εκπρόσωπος αναφέρθηκε στα αναδρομικά των συνταξιούχων, τονίζοντας πως «με απόφαση της κυβέρνησης, καταβάλλονται εφάπαξ, πλήρως και σε όλους τους συνταξιούχους, μέσα στο 2020, τα αναδρομικά ποσά που δικαιούνται, με βάση την απόφαση του Συμβουλίου της Επικρατείας. Τρεις, λοιπόν, λέξεις χαρακτηρίζουν την κυβερνητική απόφαση: Πλήρως, όλους, εφάπαξ.
Government spokesperson Stelios Petsas ruled out the possibility of early elections but also of an imminent cabinet reshuffle in an interview with Alpha TV late on Wednesday. “We have a four-year mandate. What matters now is to carry out our work. We had started very dynamically in the process of structural reforms, reduction of taxes and contributions, in order to make the lives of Greeks better. The coronavirus pandemic halted a series of planned reforms and postponed them.
We will accelerate from now on, so that we have a dynamic restart of the economy. The key is to do what we promised the Greeks, faster, more decisively and to be judged at the end of four years, having made their lives better,” he noted. He also ruled out the possibility of a government reshuffle within the next few days. “It is the prime minister’s prerogative. When he decides that it is time to take corrective actions, as he has said, he will take them.”
