PM Mitsotakis holds video conference with ICU staff
Τηλεδιάσκεψη με στελέχη των Μονάδων Εντατικής Θεραπείας πέντε μεγάλων δημόσιων νοσοκομείων, τον Απόστολο Αρμαγανίδη από το «Αττικόν», την Αναστασία Κοτανίδου από τον «Ευαγγελισμό», την Αντωνία Κουτσούκου από το νοσοκομείο «Η Σωτηρία», την Ελένη Γκέκα από το ΑΧΕΠΑ και τη Μηλίτσα Μπιτζάνη από το «Γ. Παπανικολάου» της Θεσσαλονίκης, είχε ο πρωθυπουργός Κυριάκος Μητσοτάκης.
Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis had a video conference with Intensive Care Unit (ICU) doctors at five major public hospitals, congratulating and thanking ICU staff for their invaluable contribution in dealing with the coronavirus pandemic and for their overall work. During the conference call, held on Tuesday afternoon, they also discussed the needs of ICUs, in order to proceed with the substantial strengthening of the National Health System in terms of logistics infrastructure and the staff needed to cope with any challenge, even beyond that of Covid-19. Mitsotakis pointed out that Greece has managed to protect public health and make sure its NHS had the time required to better prepare and be strengthened in the face of the pandemic. Therefore, he added, the health system has the opportunity to prepare for a possible second “wave” of coronavirus or any future crisis. PM’s Office
