Οι δράσεις της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας και του Περιφερειακού Ταμείου Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας προβάλλονται στο πρώτο ενημερωτικό δελτίο – newsletter του “Bio–based Industries Consortium” για το 2023.
Το πρώτο newsletter του Bio-based Industries Consortium (BIC) για το 2023 αναφέρεται στο ότι η Περιφέρεια Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας, με την υποστήριξη του Περιφερειακού Ταμείου Ανάπτυξης Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας εντάχθηκε ως μέλος (Fellow) στην πρωτοβουλία Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI). Επίσης, αναφορά γίνεται στην ολοκλήρωση του έργου BIOREGIO (Interreg Europe 2014-2020) στο οποίο ήταν εταίρος το Περιφερειακό Ταμείο Ανάπτυξης, εκ μέρους της Περιφέρειας Κεντρικής Μακεδονίας.
Το “Bio-based Industries Consortium” (BIC) είναι ένας μη κερδοσκοπικός οργανισμός που ιδρύθηκε στις Βρυξέλλες το 2013 για να εκπροσωπεί τον ιδιωτικό τομέα σε μια σύμπραξη δημόσιου και ιδιωτικού τομέα με την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή, η οποία επικεντρώνεται στην ενίσχυση του τομέα των βιομηχανιών βιολογικής προέλευσης στην Ευρώπη. Το “BIC” είναι, επίσης, ιδρυτικό μέλος της Ευρωπαϊκής Συμμαχίας για τη Βιοοικονομία (EUBA), μιας μοναδικής δια-τομεακής συμμαχίας αφιερωμένης στην ενσωμάτωση και την αξιοποίηση του δυναμικού της βιοοικονομίας στην Ευρώπη. Η Ευρωπαϊκή Συμμαχία Βιοοικονομίας επικεντρώνεται στην υποστήριξη ενός ευνοϊκού και συνεκτικού πλαισίου πολιτικής και επενδύσεων για την οικοδόμηση μιας ανταγωνιστικής, δυναμικής και βιώσιμης βιοοικονομίας στην Ευρώπη.
Το “Circular Cities and regions Initiative” (CCRI), το οποίο ιδρύθηκε από την Ευρωπαϊκή Eπιτροπή ως μέρος του Επιχειρηματικού Σχεδίου Κυκλικής Οικονομίας, υποστηρίζει τα συμβαλλόμενα μέλη στην προσπάθειά τους να υλοποιήσουν τη μετάβαση στην κυκλική οικονομία στις πόλεις και τις Περιφέρειες της Ευρώπης. Το πρόγραμμα “CCRI Pilots and Fellows” είναι ένα δίκτυο με περισσότερες από 30 ευρωπαϊκές πόλεις και Περιφέρειες που υλοποιούν τη μετάβαση σε τοπικό και περιφερειακό επίπεδο.

Empowering Central and Eastern European countries to develop circular bioeconomy strategies
A more bottom-up approach is needed to foster the bioeconomy transition in Europe.To do so, CEE2ACT is empowering countries in Central Eastern Europe and beyond (Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia) to develop circular bioeconomy strategies and action plans through innovative governance models. AUSTRIA

FRANCE
The Pays de la Loire regional Chamber of Agriculture is working on developing new bio-based fertilisers. The RUSTICA project (Horizon 2020) provides a technical solution to convert organic residues from the fruit and vegetable sector into novel bio-based fertiliser products of high quality that address the needs of modern (organic) agriculture. GREECE
The Region of Central Macedonia is fellow of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) and has access to valuable knowledge material and at the same time contributes with its own experience to the exchange of knowledge with the other members. The CCRI initiative, established by the European Commission, is part of the EU’s New Action Plan for the Circular Economy, and focuses on the transition to circular economy at local and regional level. The Regional Development Fund of Central Macedonia implemented the BIOREGIO project, aiming to improve regional policies through increased focus on circular economy of biological streams. For more information, click here
SPAIN
The Region of Andalusia is partner in the European Project ROBIN, and which involves 13 partners from 5 different regions of Ireland, Germany, Spain, Slovakia and Greece. The ROBIN Project (Deploying Circular BIOeconomies at the Regional Level with a Territorial Approach) aims to empower European regional authorities to use social innovative techniques and shape their governance structures within the circular bioeconomy.
